2006 IMPOA Survey Results.

IMPOA listens to 687 IM property owners!

What a great response to the 2006 IMPOA Survey. Our goal was for 400 property owners to return the survey, and we surpassed that with 687 responses. We are grateful---thank you very much. Some people wrote comments that made us think that some confusion still remained about why we conducted the survey. We would like to restate what we wrote in the Fall 2006 IMPOA newsletter. Why did IMPOA conduct this comprehensive survey? There were several reasons:

  • The Board accepted its responsibility, as stated in the IMPOA Bylaws, to provide for the collection and dissemination of information on the concerns of Subdivision owners

  • IMPOA wanted to give all IM property owners a chance to be heard and not rely on the voices of a few people who attend Board meetings or accassionally email;

  • There are a number of important issues challenging the community; and

  • IMPOA has limited financial resources and must focus on several key programs of interest to the community.
There will be a new IMPOA Board for 2007. The survey results will be used by the new Board to help develop a plan of action for the next several years. We will report on this plan in the Summer issue of the IMPOA newsletter. We invite you to study the results.

There are four sections (each is a PDF that opens in a new window):

1. A Summary of the overall study results.

2. A list of the personal comments written by respondents.

3.  A comparison of responses between IMPOA members and non-IMPOA members.

4. A comparison of responses between full-time residents, part-time residents, and owners without any dwelling.
