When not under a fire ban you may obtain a permit from the Jefferson Como Fire Station #5 on Elkhorn Road, or via their web site.

When not under a fire ban you must still report the burn even with a permit.  This reporting is to avoid unnecessary dispatch of emergency equipment.  You must report burning prior to starting to (719) 836-2141.

To Get Building Permits

Any and all building in Indian Mountain requires a permit.

Building codes, permits, and inspections for new homes and buildings in Indian Mountain are handled by Park County officials. Be sure to get a copy of the Park County Building Permit Guide and read the Indian Mountain covenants provided under the Governance portion of this website.
