On June 30 2007, the Recreation District converted
the Comfort Station's metallic key lock to a card key system.

for obtaining one of the new card keys.
Be sure you
know the covenants before
reporting any violations. Many times it is a simple fix
and may take some time for the property owner to correct. Click
here for process and assistance with resolving these conflicts.
When not under a fire ban you may
obtain a permit from Judy at the fire station on Elkhorn Road.
When not under a fire ban you must
still report the burn even with a permit. This reporting
is to avoid unnecessary dispatch of emergency equipment. You
must report burning prior to starting to (719) 836-2141.
Please call the Department of Wildlife
if you are experiencing problems with the wildlife in the area
or if you see people or domestic animals terrorizing the local
wildlife.
The brand inspector is who you need to call. The
sheriff does not handle these issues. Before calling try
to get the brand off of the animal, the young ones are easier
to read. After you get the brand then call the brand inspector.
All reservations are now being handled
by Hugh Hudson (303) 431-7149. The use is permitted based
on a first come first serve basis and for periods not to exceed
a week.
Call one of the board
members, covenants are very plain in their wording to prohibit
these activities.
Try and get the general area, lot and filing or the street address,
if you are witness to these activities.
This is a residential area and kids
do play in the trees.
