On June 30 2007, the Recreation District converted the
Comfort Station's metallic key lock to a card key system. The link
below will take you to their website with instructions for obtaining
one of the new card keys.
Be sure you know
the covenants before
reporting any violations. Many times it is a simple fix and
may take some time for the property owner to correct. Click

If you would like to use the RV Storage
area click on the link to the Rec District's website below & follow
the instructions provided.
When not under a fire ban you may obtain
a permit from Judy at the fire station on Elkhorn Road.
When not under a fire ban you must still
report the burn even with a permit. This reporting is to avoid
unnecessary dispatch of emergency equipment. You must report

Please call the Department of Wildlife
if you are experiencing problems with the wildlife in the area or
if you see people or domestic animals terrorizing the local wildlife.

If you see dogs running loose in the area call Animal
control in Fairplay. Colorado has a Statewide leash law, even
in the National Forest!

The brand inspector is who you need to call. The
sheriff does not handle these issues. Before calling try to get
the brand off of the animal, the young ones are easier to read. After
you get the brand then call the brand inspector.

All reservations are now being handled

covenants are very plain in their wording to prohibit these activities.
