Did you know that the combined liquid content of snow
and rain in the Indian Mountain area is only about ten inches of moisture
annually? Windy days exacerbate an already dry condition.
Therefore, it's imperative all property owners exercise
caution with fires. Indian Mountain provides a burn pit for the purpose
disposing of slash and approved wood debris as described on the burn
pit page
The burn pit is managed by Jefferson Como Fire Protection
District. Please use the facility if all possible to dispose of this
material.
Campfires, while an enjoyable part of the outdoor
experience are subject to certain restrictions as outlined by Park County
and the Fire District during fire bans. Please review the important fire
condition information as outlined by the Jefferson
Como Fire Protection District.
