Burn
Pit (Waste Wood Disposal Site)
Administration and management of the burn pit is handled by
the Jefferson/Como Fire Protection District.
On August 18, 2006 the lock combination changed. Please stop
by the J.C.F.P.D. Station #5 (just west of the burn pit) to fill
out a registration form to continue using the burn pit. At that
time you will be issued the new combination.
The Fire District also has the application
and more information on their web site at jcfpd.org.
Disposal of slash resulting from fire mitigation is the primary
reason for the burn pit operation. Noncombustible products (metal,
glass, etc.) and trash are strictly prohibited.
For more information, please contact the J.C.F.P.D at 719-836-3244
